In this project, we upgraded the client’s existing website to the current version of Joomla (our preferred website platform) this has enabled the website to be responsive. Responsive websites are great as it allows your customers or prospects to easily view (resizes to accomodate the screen) and navigate your site on their smart phones or tablets. It’s also very important for SEO.
The key components of this upgrade were to:
- Upgrade hosting platforms from the Joomla 2 version to Joomla 3
- Migrate all existing content across to the new version (saving time and money)
- Enable the site to be responsive to mobile users of smartphones and tablets
